Lights in the City is a vision to see the light of Christ shine brightly in our city. Across the city every day there are many lights shining for Christ in the office place, in the marketplace, in govenment offices, in taxi cabs, underground and on the streets. Many of us try to be good witnesses where we are but often we don't feel like bright shining lights, more like tiny tea-lights.

Lights in the City is about encouraging the tea-lights all over the city to shine where they are. Every Wednesday lunchtime we gather for:

In John 8:12 we find some amazing words that Jesus said about himself. As the huge lamps in the temple were lit, Jesus said "I am the light of the world." But perhaps even more astonishing than that are the words that Jesus said to his followers when he tells them that THEY are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16).

As we shine where we are, together we are His Lights in the City.
